Priory Counsulting Services
Our Priory Consulting services include:
Grants and Other Funding
The Priory Partnership has been an accredited supplier for Business Link since February 2004 under the Finance and Accounting Framework. Although the 40% Objective One grants are no longer available, we are still helping businesses to improve with our financial consultancy.
We specialise in business plans and grant applications to obtain funding for both start-ups and established businesses, as well as being experts in the relevant matters of accounting.
We have a track record in obtaining GBI capital expenditure grants (previously SFI), GRAND R&D grants, MSIF loans, Enterprise Finance Guarantee (previously SFLG), Skillworks training grants, local council funding, etc. and project managing financial packages including asset-backed finance, invoice discounting and private investment.
We aim to take as much of the bureaucracy out of the process as possible and use our experience to give you as good a chance as possible at accessing available funds.
We have a wide range of businesses in our funding portfolio, from inventors to IT firms, manufacturers to moving firms, and could help your business navigate the minefield of grant information out there.
Call or email our funding adviser Amy Timewell for more information on 0151 649 3900 or atimewell@the-priory.co.uk.
Benchmarking
At last… a chance to discover how well you are really doing
Like most other business owners, you would probably like to know exactly how you are performing. More importantly, you'd like to know exactly how much you are missing out on. And work out how to get what could and should be yours.
Now you can with your Confidential Performance Report. We have joined forces with some of the country's other leading firms of accountants to co-fund the development of the UK's largest financial benchmarking database.
As a result, you can focus your energies on catching up in those areas where you are weak and building on those areas where you are strong. So, with your Confidential Performance Report you'll have better measures and start on the road to better results.
What is in the report?
A detailed 25 page report that analyses every key number in your business. An in-depth meeting to help you work out exactly how to use the insights in the report and address and act on the issues raised.

Professional Fee Protection
How would you like to pay your accountant an additional £4,000 this year...?
Ever since the advent of the Self-Assessment regime, H M Inspector of Taxes has randomly selected individuals and businesses for investigation. Not the most scientific approach you may feel but, nevertheless, it does mean that if you submit a tax return you are immediately entered into the Revenue’s free prize draw to win your very own investigation!
If the Revenue picks on you - often with no warning, and without your having done anything wrong - their investigations can go on for months, even years. And if you want professional help to clear your name, the fees can quickly add up to a lot of money - typically you can expect a simple investigation to cost you an average of £4,000!
The good news is, though, that for a very reasonable amount per year, you can now insure yourself so that the insurance company picks up the cost - whatever that may be - through The Priory Partnership Professional Fee Protection, (run in conjunction with CCH, who are regarded as being the leaders in this field) . Then you can concentrate on clearing your name, instead of worrying about how you're going to pay for it.
Provided that we have submitted your tax return and that return was not in a penalty position upon submission then you qualify for PFP cover. Getting the insurance couldn't be easier - just contact us for a quote.
